Designed in 1957 for the SAS Royal Hotel’s bar and restaurant in Copenhaguen, the AJ Royal pendant is now a classic in the world of lighting.
Its geometric semi-sphere form, both modern and timeless, guarantees strong architectural adaptability, and the lamp can now unsurprisingly be found in bars, hotels, public buildings, businesses and private residences around the world.


The light diffused by the AJ Royal lamp, is cleverly directed downwards through a semi-opaque glass disk, thus making it soft and glare-free. A smaller part of the light is directed towards the ceiling, through the open steel rings at the top of the shade, illuminating the shade itself.


The position of the semi-opaque glass disk makes the light source perfectly invisible, for greater eye comfort.


Placed over a table, worktop or desk, the AJ Royal will subtly attract glances, while perfectly blending into the environment surrounding it.


The outside of the shade is painted white, while the inside is white mat enameled.
