The Clam suspension is an interpretation of a shell housing a pearl. In this case, the pearl is a source of light. In this show, the contestants had to design a hanging lamp that could be placed above a dining room table.

Designed in 1952, the Cow Horn chair is the immediate follow-up to the PP501/PP503 round chair that marked Wegner's career.

The continuity of form and philosophy is obvious, but the chair was designed for a different purpose. Wegner created a smaller chair that slides easily under the table, making it more suitable for the dining room as a whole.
