Swedese is a sweedish fourniture company founded in 1945 by two brothers Yngve and Jerker Ekström and Sven Bertil Sjöqvist, Yngve Ekström beeing the CEO.
Ynkve Ekström together with great names of modernism, between them Alvar Aalto, Bruno Mathsson, Arne Jacobsen and Poul Kjaerholm played a key role in creating the foundation of the Scandinavian Modernism or « Sandinavain Modern », now internationnally famous and recognizable among all other design.
One of his famoust creation is the lamino easy chair created in 1956, wich is still manufactured and difused and was voted one of the best sweedish design of the twentieth by the sweedish interior design magazine Sköna Hem.


After Yngve Ekström passed away in 1988 , sweedese was brought to highlights again in the 2000’s thanks to a new its new director at this time Alf Johansson, he associated Swedese company with another one specialized in cnfortable upholstered seating furniture and focused on developping the two company field combining design, quality and comfort.
He then died in 2005 and since then Elisabeth Johansson is leading the company under the same vision and motto : « a fourniture shall be functional, of high quality material and standard of manufacturing »
