La boutique danoise,
authorized Fritz Hansen retailer

Founded in 1872 by the cabinetmaker Fritz Hansen, the Fritz Hansen company started making high-quality Danish furniture in 1885 and enjoyed a steadily growing reputation. Today, Fritz Hansen is one of the most famous Danish furniture companies around the world, due above all to its collaboration with designer and architect Arne Jacobsen.

This collaboration gave birth to a high number of creations, mainly chairs and armchairs, of which many are now considered true icons of Danish design. These include the famous Ant chair (1952), the Series 7 chair, and the Grand Prix chair (1957), as well as the Swan sofa and Egg chair, designed for the Royal Hotel in Copenhagen in 1958.

If Arne Jacobsen became the main partner in the 1950s, other collaborations also influenced the history of the company. The partnership with Kaare Klint allowed the company to offer a new type of furniture, with a very functional design and which set the basis of Scandinavian design as we know it today. Over the years, Hans Wegner (China Char, 1944), Børge Morgensen (Spoke Back Sofa, 1945), Verner Panton and Piet Heim also contributed by giving their own vision of Danish design.

In collaboration with the brand, the “la boutique danoise" store, situated 264 boulevard Saint Germain in Paris, exhibits a selection of their favorite Carl Hansen products.
