La boutique danoise:
authorized Georg Jensen retailer
At the time of its creation in 1904, the Danish company Georg Jensen offered a selection of silver jewelry including rings, brooches, earrings, hat pins and pendants, which were almost immediately successful. His designs were mostly inspired by nature and often resembled miniature sculptures. These Scandinavian design objects were both beautiful and functional and broke with the lower quality and sometimes ugly looking products of mass production.
The Georg Jensen company today not only offers jewelry, but also a selection of kitchen accessories and decorative pieces, such as dishes, cutlery, teapots and candlesticks.
Over the years, the Georg Jensen company has partnered with over 90 designers, including Maria Berntsen, Gundolph Albertus, Sigvard Bernadotte, Arne Jacobsen and Henning Koppel.
The most beautiful collaboration was perhaps that with designer Henning Koppel. It gave birth to a number of highly successful products: the famous Koppel Pitcher, the Caravel and New York cutlery gift boxes and the HK dishes.
In collaboration with the brand, the “la boutique danoise store”, situated 264 boulevard Saint Germain in Paris, exhibits a selection of their favorite Georg Jensen products.
