Gerrit Thomas Rietveld, 1934

Originally designed by Dutch architect and designer Gerrit Rietveld in 1934 to make use of surplus wooden pallets, the Crate collection has been re-launched as a collaboration between Rietveld Originals and HAY.

Crafted with respect to the original design, the Crate side table shares the same precisely balanced proportions and transparent construction to minimize production costs and optimize the assembly process.

Featuring a square top and an additional storage shelf, the table's simplicity and spatial design reflect the designer's architectural style - offering functionality and comfort without absorbing space.

Crafted from solid pine with a durable water-based lacquer finish in a variety of color options, the Crate side table is suitable for a wide range of outdoor environments.
