Carl Hansen offers a new colorful approach to the famous CH33 chair by Hans Wegner. Carl Hansen & Son has nevertheless stuck to the designer’s traditional color palette, with white, light blue, orange and black.
The optional colored versions of the re-issued chair are simply an addition to the existing wooden versions. Produced until 1967, the original wooden version was extremely successful in auctions around the world prior to the re-issue.
The chair’s design is perfect, and its pure organic lines are a real invitation to sit down and rest. The seat is available with or without the upholstery options, in fabric or leather, and offers incredible comfort.
Made of solid wood, the CH33 chair is extremely stable despite its light and fragile appearance.
The wood sorts can be mixed to combine e.g. a beech frame with walnut seat and back.

The shell consists of molded polyurethane foam with a metal frame and glass fiber reinforcements. Covered in cold cured foam, and finally, leather or textile upholstery, the shell offers comfort alongside great variability.
