The PK25 easy chair, also known as the "element chair", is created by designer Poul Kjaerholm for his graduation project. To design the seat and backseat he is inspired by the famous designer Hans J. Wegner, one of his teachers at that time, wich also appears to be one of the masters of the seats in Danish design. Poul Kjaerholm therefore uses flag halyard cord, very flexible material and resistant at the same time, inspired by the Flag Halyard chair chair, as a nod to the latter.
Though the PK25 reflects all the inventiveness of the young avant-garde designer. His will is to reduce the chair to one piece of each material. The structure is therefore developed in a single piece of folded and continuous metal, without joints or fasteners, resulting in being a feat of design and realization.
The iconic chair in flat steel, is offered in two different shades of flag halyard.
