With its clean, uncluttered lines and comfortable backrest and seat, the Lamino easy chair has all the hallmarks of a modern classic, even though it was designed 50 years ago.
It's perhaps the best-known creation of designer Yngve Ekstrom for Swedese, and over the years has won prizes for its clarity and simplicity of form.
Created in 1956, Lamino is still manufactured, by skilful craftsmen in Vaggeryd in southern Sweden.
The maker only use high quality materials as selected veneer that is laminated, pressed into its beautiful shape and covered with fabric, leather or sheepskin. Just as meticulously as in Yngve Ekström’s time.
Lamino is famous for being one of the most comfortable easychair. It offers a large seating space without taking up too much unnecessary space. Perfect to rest the neck, the high back extends the relaxing experience.
Probably thanks to all those details, the Lamino has been voted the 'Twentieth Century's Best Swedish Furniture Design" by the Swedish interior magazine Sköna Hem.
Choose between a large range of fabrics, leather and sheepskins:
