Shoichi Uchiyama design, for Louis Poulsen.

Enigma 825 is a Japanese inspired pendant, which produces soft and diffuse light through indirect lighting, mostly aimed downwards. The lamp should be installed in high ceiling rooms for spectacular general lighting results.

Shoichi Uchiyama design for Louis Poulsen.

The Enigma pendant is one of Japanese designer Schoichi Uchivama’s designs. Its simple and lightweight form clearly reflects the Japanese culture.

Enigma 825 diffuses soft, hushed, high-quality light, capable of lightening up large rooms.

Its seven circular shades, held together with fine aluminum wire, form a beautiful cascade with a floating appearance. The upper, dull surfaces diffuse the light while the lower shiny surfaces reflect it.

The light bulb is perfectly hidden inside the cone, thus eliminating glare.

In 2007, Enigma 825 was awarded the prestigious IF Design prize.

Also available: Enigma 425 and Enigma 545.
