Shoichi Uchiyama design for Louis Poulsen.
The Enigma pendant is one of Japanese designer Schoichi Uchivama’s designs. Its simple and lightweight form clearly reflects the Japanese culture.
Enigma 825 diffuses soft, hushed, high-quality light, capable of lightening up large rooms.
Its seven circular shades, held together with fine aluminum wire, form a beautiful cascade with a floating appearance. The upper, dull surfaces diffuse the light while the lower shiny surfaces reflect it.
The light bulb is perfectly hidden inside the cone, thus eliminating glare.
In 2007, Enigma 825 was awarded the prestigious IF Design prize.
