Arne Jacobsen design for Stelton, 1967.
The AJ Cylinda ashtray was designed in 1967 by Arne Jacobsen, the designer famous for always being ahead of his time, and is now considered a great classic of Scandinavian design.
It is part of the legendary Cylinda line by Stelton, a collection of functional tableware in stainless steel, with cylindrical forms and a minimalist design. The line was created in the 1960s by Arne Jacobsen, but still looks just as modern today as it did back then. The purity of its lines is as pleasant on the eyes as it is functional. The line was awarded the ID (industrial design) prize in 1967.
The geometric rounded form of the ashtray, as well as its uniform metallic appearance make it a modern-looking object which will blend in to any kind of environment.
Its high-quality materials as well as the perfectly mastered production process guarantee the ashtray a long life-span.
