Created in 1872 by the danish cabinet maker Fritz Hansen, The Fritz Hansen company starts manufacturing danish furnitures with high standards in 1885 and from then on quickly knows a growing success. Fritz Hansen is today one of the most renown danish furniture company, notably through Its collaboration with the danish architect and designer Arne Jacobsen.

This collaboration gave birth to numerous Iconic danish creations such as The ant chair (1952), The Series 7 chair, The Grand prix chair (1957), the Swan sofa or The Egg lounge chair initially designed for The Royal Hotel of Copenhagen in 1958.
Arne Jacobsen became the main designer of the company in the 50’s but Fritz Hansen has also been highlighted by other associations.

First with the designer Kaare Klint wich allowed the company to offer a new collection of furniture, with a fonctional line, and layed the fundations to the actual danish design.
Then Børge Morgensen, Hans J. Wegner, Verner Panton and Piet Heim also brought their own vision of danish design threw the years.
