LA CHAISE DE PETER

The Peter chair was designed by Hans J. Wegner during the Second World War. It was not easy to find quality products in war-torn Europe. When Wegner needed a christening present for Peter, the son of his friend and fellow furniture designer Børge Mogensen, he took matters into his own hands and made the gift himself.

Designed like a life-size three-dimensional jigsaw puzzle in untreated beech, the chair assembles easily and without tools, to the delight of children and adults alike.

The Peter Chair combines perfectly with the Peter Table. Together, these pieces of furniture reveal the full extent of Wegner's innovative spirit.
