Design Piet Hein, 1965

The Super-Egg lighting series was created by Danish designer, mathematician, scientist, inventor, and author Piet Hein.

Its design is based on the geometry of the superellipse shape which is described as an ideal transition from the rectangle to the circle. The SuperEgg is made of high-quality shining white opal glass with a narrow opening visible underneath. It brings out the best in light and gives the lamp a beautiful and controlled light, without glare.

This pendant model takes on full significance when seen alone although a combination of different sizes or colors creat a warm and singular atmosphere.

Piet Hein SUPER EGG series comes in three different sizes and three colors of cable to naturally blend into any type of interior.
