Arne Jacobsen design, 1958
True icon of danish design, the Swan sofa was originally created by the designer Arne Jacbsen for the lobby of the innovative SAS Hotel in Copenhagen. It was conceived between other furnitures who would become for most icons as well.
The designer wanted to create with those a "modern garden", therefore the Swan sofa has round shapes and soft organic curves.
Its sculptural aesthetic is nonetheless associated to a great fonctionnality. Its shell is made of polyurethane with fiberglass reinforcement covered by foam, its shaker legs of satined polished aluminium.
The Swan sofa is offered in a wide range of leather or fabrics .
