Design Finn Juhl, 1951

The bold, sculptural Baker sofa, designed in 1951 with its two-part backrest, marked Finn Juhl's American debut. 

The sofa has an upholstered body resting on an elegant, lightweight wooden construction - a typical example of how Finn Juhl separated furniture elements to create visual lightness. The sofa is very comfortable and offers support in all the right places. It is made according to the best traditions of craftsmanship with hand-sewn upholstery.
