In autumn 1949, Nisse and Kajsa's STRING shelf won first prize in the Bonniers library competition. Made up of blue wall panels and pine shelves, their creation beat out 194 competitors from all over Europe, the United States and even Australia. For the 75th anniversary of the String bookshelf, we produced a limited series of 1949 bookshelves with the original blue wall panels and solid pine shelves. Just like the winning 1949 model.

The exhibition in 1961, where Finn Juhl presented the Glove Cabinet, marked Finn Juhl’s 25th anniversary and became his last exhibition of that kind. The exclusive cabinet opens up like a jewelry box and reveals a daring and colourful interior.
Even with this simple sofa, Finn Juhl remains true to his idea of emphasising the difference between load-bearing and supporting elements by separating the backrest from the supporting frame using brass brackets.

Inspired by modern art and foreign cultures, the Chieftain Chair with its organic shapes, liberated itself from traditional Danish furniture design and strict functionalism in both shape, construction and materials.
The original Pira shelf designed in 1954 was as contradictory as the man who conceived it. Olle Pira (1927-2018) was a traditional master cabinet-maker who crafted cherry, maple and matured oak with age-old skills. Yet he won a place at the renowned Konstfack school of art, craft and design, the birthplace of concepts ahead of their times. And became the first Swede to win a gold medal at the Triennale in Milan in 1952.
The simple and beautiful Finn Juhl sideboard from 1955 combines exclusive wood materials with the colors of the Goethe color wheel. The sideboard is made with white / yellow, white / light blue, oak, teak, walnut or Oregon pine sliding doors and matching trays in yellow / red or blue tones.
Design Finn Juhl, 1953 : Bench / Table comes in three lengths: 112, 170 and 225 cm. Using walnut, teak, oak, Oregon pine or black linoleum with a burnished steel frame and wooden toes.
The bench / table comes with matte polished brass edges. In addition, the bench is available with a foldable upholstered cushion in fabric or leather.
